1. General terms
1.1. The tournament title: Sport Dots 1st Junior Trial 2016 (SD1JT’16).
1.1.1. The tournament logo.
1.2. Competition status: an official tournament with restriction of maximum sports title and base rating of participants; the Stage of qualifying round of 2016.
1.3. Competition location: an online tournament on the basis of «Sport Dots» applications in the social networks
1.4. Dates of the tournament: June 20-26, 2016.
1.5. The tournament organizer: the “Sport Dots” project.
1.6. An external sponsors are absent.
1.7. The prize fund: real is 2000 (two thousand) rubles (RUB), conditionally real is the subscription of the premium account in the Applications, virtual is graphics medals and signs in the Applications players profiles.
1.7.1. Winners and prizes:
Winner - 750 (seven hundred fifty) RUB, a medal to the profile.
Second place - 400 (four hundred) RUB, a medal to the profile.
Third place - 300 (three hundred) RUB, a medal to the profile.
Fourth place - 150 (one hundred fifty) RUB, a medal to the profile.
Participants of ¼ stage who are not released into ½ stage - 100 (one hundred) RUB, the sign of participant in the profile.
All other participants than those listed, who really played at least one game - 14 days of subscription to a premium account in Application and the participant icon to the profile.
1.7.2. The procedure of payment of real prizes. The money paid through the payment systems Webmoney, PayPal or Yandex Money (currency — RUB or its equivalent). The payment information must be reported to referee through the personal message in the Application or social network. The absence of payment information message within 10 days after the end of the tournament is the reason for refusal to pay the prize.
2. Conditions and the procedure of registration
2.1. The requirements for participants: to install the application in any of social networks mentioned in Sect. 1.3, and to reach the following achievements at the moment of tournament registration:
а) the basic rating in the Applications: any;
б) the sports title in the Applications: the third rank (3), the second rank (2), the first rank (1), Master candidate (C).
2.1.1. The candidates who meet the requirements of Sect. 2.1 of these Terms and who took part in an official tournament before (without limiting the maximum sports title and base rating, but with a minimum restriction) which was the stage of qualifying round of 2016, and reached in playoffs are not allowed to participate in tournament. This takes into account the personality of candidate, and not a specific gamer profile.
2.1.2. The candidates who meet the requirements of Sect. 2.1 and 2.1.1 of these Terms, which were among the participants of the previous official tournament under "Sport Dots" guidance, and in the course of it did not play any games because of absence are not allowed to participate in tournament. This takes into account the personality of candidate, and not a specific gamer profile.
2.2. The verification of participants: all candidates to participate in tournament are required to prove their identity by viewing passport to referee.
2.2.1. The verification passes via skype (referees’ nicknames are volunteer0022, irka_indi). The verification by sending the scan copy of passport without the possibility of check in real name and photo via online is not allowed.
2.2.2. Participants verification: during two days from the moment of registration on tournament (but not later of registration period, stated in Sect. 2.4.2 of these Terms).
2.2.3. The failure to pass the verification or delay its passage implies the cancellation of participant application.
2.2.4. The players who passed verification during previous tournaments under “Sport Dots” guidance should not pass the verification again.
2.3. The number of participants: 24.
2.4. The method and terms of registration, submission and cancellation of application.
2.4.1. To register on tournament a player should be familiar with these Terms, and then leave comment in relevant topics in «Sport Dots» communities in social networks
2.4.2. The applications for registration are accepted from June 4, 2016, 00:00 until June 17, 2016, 23:59 (Moscow time).
2.4.3. You can cancel your registration before the end of registration period. To cancel your registration you must leave a comment: «Please cancel my application.» in relevant topics specified in Sect. 2.4.1. Re-submission after cancellation is not allowed.
2.4.4. The list of players who eligible to participate in tournament, will be published in topics specified in Sect. 2.4.1 of these Terms, as well as on official "Sport Dots" website.
22.214.171.124. The players listed in Sect. 2.4.4 of these Terms should confirm participation in tournament with help of appropriate functions of the automated functionality of tournament during June 18-19, 2016. Players who not confirmed their participation are considered as disqualified from tournament.
3. Tournament scheme
3.1. The tournament formula: group stage and playoff with third place match.
3.1.1. Group stage: 4 groups (А, В, С, D) with 6 players per group. One cycle (each with each play one game). The first move in a game goes to the player with less rating at the moment of game start. Winner gets 3 points, for draw - 1 point, for lose - 0 points. Two players from each group who reach first and second places go to the next stage. In the case of points equality the first order priority is the results of games between players, and the second order priority is the number of victories. In the case of equality by additional indicators the replay held up by the settings specified in Sect. 3.2.2.
3.1.2. Playoffs: ¼, ½ stages, the match for third place, the final. In all pairs of ¼ the group winners play with players, who get second place in group. In ¼, ½ stages and in the match for third place the serie of games until 2 victories. In the final match until 3 victories. The sequence of moves is determined automatically. When the game in a serie ends with draw then the result is considered as invalid, and then a replay of the game held until the first victory by the settings specified in Sect. 3.2.2. The order of first move in replayed game is the same as for the game, which ended with draw. Regardless of the number of replays, the win of one of them is considered as a victory in the game of serie.
3.2. The game settings
3.2.1. Group stage and playoff: game for rating, no territory, with landing, no additional rules, field size is 39х32, one crossing in field center, 30 seconds per move, 6 minutes in reserve.
3.2.2. Replays (for all stages).
126.96.36.199. First replay: game for rating, no territory, with landing, no additional rules, field size is 39х32, four crossings in random place, 30 seconds per move, 6 minutes in reserve.
188.8.131.52. Second replay: game for rating, no territory, with landing, no additional rules, field size is 39х32, four crossings in random place, 10 seconds per move, 1 minute in reserve (this is the standard settings of automated functionality).
3.3. The type of draw: manually by referees and automatically. After the registration from all of received registrations we select 24 candidates with highest rating at the end of registration. If rating is equal we use the average rating of opponent and the percentage of victories. The rest of registrations haven’t pass the qualification. Then we form the list of players described in Sect.2.4.4 of these Terms. These 24 players are ranked according with the basic rating at the end of registration. If rating is equal we use the average rating of opponent and the percentage of victories. Then we form 6 baskets of 4 players numbered 1 (from 1 to position 4), 2 (from 5 to 8 positions), 3 (from 9 to 12 positions), 4 (from 13 to 16 positions), 5 (from 17 to 20 positions), 6 (from 21 to 24 positions).
3.3.1. The draw for group stage: from 1-6 baskets we sequentially randomly select one player, and thus successively we form 4 groups mentioned in Sect. 3.1.1.
3.3.2. The draw for playoff: group winners form the 1st basket and the second players in groups form 2nd basket. Then, from these two baskets we sequentially randomly select one player, and thus we form 4 pairs. The players from the same group are sent to different pairs. If during the draw the group winner gets second player from the same group, we immediately select another player, and the previous player backs in the basket for reselection.
184.108.40.206. All the couples mentioned in Sect. 3.3.2 of these Terms randomly arranged in a grid ¼ stage by referee. The draw for the final ½ takes place automatically and randomly without regard to the grid and other indicators. Winners of ½ stage reach the final, the losers play the match for third place.
3.4. We fix the course and hand-draw results: we publish the video after draw procedure.
4. The schedule of the tournament
4.1. The group stage: June 20-22, 2016. Moscow time.
First round: June 20, 2016, 20:30.
Second round: June 20, 2016, 21:45.
Third round: June 21, 2016, 20:30.
Fourth round: June 21, 2016, 21:45.
Fifth round: June 22, 2016, 20:30.
Replays: immediately after the end of the fifth round.
4.1.1. The start time of the stages of Sect. 4.1 of these Terms is planned (except the first one, to which it is fixed). From the second round players can play games of upcoming round earlier using the appropriate function of the automated functionality of tournament. If the game has not been played earlier by mutual agreement between the players, it will be launched in scheduled time.
4.2. Playoffs: June 23-26, 2016 (Moscow time).
¼ stage: June 23, 2016, 20:30.
½ stage: June 24, 2016, 20:30.
The match for third place: June 25, 2016, 18:00.
The final: June 26, 2016, 18:00.
Replays: immediately after each game finished by a draw.
4.2.1. The start time of the stages of Sect. 4.2 of these Terms is planned. Players who know their next opponent can play the game of upcoming stage earlier using the appropriate function of the automated functionality of tournament. If one game or all games of stage has not been played earlier by mutual agreement between players, it will be launched in scheduled time.
4.2.2. The pauses between games series are coordinated by players. If a serie is played at scheduled time, a pause can not exceed 10 minutes. After this time, the next game will be launched by referee.
4.3. The consequences of failure to appear in a game is a technical defeat. The failure of appear is considered as the failure of player's acception of invitation to play in the tournament for 5 minutes. In the case of absence of two players the technical defeat counts for both players.
4.4. Technical failures: if the game is not over (correctly completed) due to technical problems of Applications and(or) automated functionality of tournament, a decision on further action taken by referee on the basis of technical capacity, provisions of these Terms and sport principle.
4.5. Players who participate in the relevant stage of tournament have come to the time of its inception and promptly accept an invitation to tournament game.
4.5.1. If a player who known his next opponent is ready to play earlier, he can use the corresponding function of the automated functionality of tournament. The game will be launched immediately if his rival is also use this feature. The ready to play earlier you can withdraw at any time, until the game is not started.
4.6. The results of all games are counted automatically.
4.7. Immediately after the completion of the games of the final round of group stage the players must remain in the Application as long as the system does not check whether the replay is needed. If necessary, the replay will be run by referee.
4.8. In the case of player disconnection the game ends in order that common for official tournaments: after five minutes the player who left the Application loses. His opponent may launch the pause on its own initiative and wait as long as he want, but not longer than the beginning of next round (stage).
4.9. In the course of any game in tournament, the player can once asked his opponent to launch the pause and should accompany the automatic request with the message "I ask for a pause" in game chat. The opponent should satisfy this request by sending the message "Pause" to the game chat. The duration of this pause can not exceed 10 minutes.
4.9.1. If the player not returned to game within the specified period, the opponent must notify referee, and then in the presence of referee to remove the pause and wait for the expiration of playing time of excommunicated player or his return.
4.9.2. If the player who ask for a pause, does not duplicate the request message to the chat, it is considered that he did not ask the pause. If the player who agree with the pause, does not duplicate it by the message to the chat, it is considered that he did not turn on the pause.
5. Rights and obligations
a) provide free and equal access to all information about the tournament, needed to participate in it as a player or spectator;
b) allow to participate in the tournament everyone who meets the requirements of these Terms and properly passed the registration;
c) ensure the functioning of the application during the tournament, as well as the timely correction of the consequences of possible technical failures;
d) at the end of tournament to allocate the prizes in the manner prescribed in these Terms.
a) decide the procedure of tournament as specified in Sections 1-4 of these Terms, except in cases provided by Sect. 5.1.3;
b) cancel the tournament or to postpone the tournament without giving any reason except as provided by Sect. 5.1.3;
c) modify the application functionality or graphics if it does not lead to the need to make changes to Sect. 3 of these Terms.
5.1.3. Has no right:
a) to cancel the tournament or to postpone it after the date of the tournament start, posted in the present Terms (except in the cases of force majeure referred to the Sect. 7.1);
b) to make changes to these Terms after the registration opening except detection of technical errors (typos);
c) to give preference (including moral) to any players or discriminate against them, to agree in advance on the game results or otherwise ignoration the sport principles for determining the winners.
a) follow strictly the rules of these Terms for the tournament preparation and its implementation;
b) be polite and correct in dealing with participants and spectators;
c) answer the questions about tournament from tournament participants and spectators;
d) in the case of player disqualification to clarify the reason of his decision.
a) perform the moderator functions in accordance with the general rules of the use of Application specified in the section “How to Play — Encyclopedia — Communication, system of complaints”;
b) prevent the participants and spectators of tournament who break the rules and general terms of application use, as well as to disqualify participants in the case of a ban for violation of general rules or violation of Sect. 5.3.3 of these Terms;
c) make decision on further actions in the cases described by Sect. 4.4;
d) if during the tournament there was a disputable situation not expressly described in these Terms, can consult directly with stakeholders and take a decision, guided by common sense and sport principles.
5.2.3. Has no right:
a) to favor (including moral) to any players or to discriminate against them, to agree in advance on the game results or otherwise violate the sport principles of winners determining;
b) to disqualify the tournament participants who do not violate these Terms or general rules of the use of Application;
c) to hide (ignore) the fact of violations of these Terms or general rules of the use of Application by tournament participants and spectators.
a) conform of the requirements of these Terms;
b) know the rules of these Terms and the general rules of the use of Application. To know how to use the functionality of Application;
c) appear in Application within the period specified in these Terms for tournament stage, in which the player is involved;
d) be correct in relation to the opponent, referees, organizers, spectators, to follow the sport principles;
e) if during his game someone will begin to prompt to him or his opponent moves, tactics, game strategy, threats of points or groups of points, as well as to report of missed opportunities during the game, the player should immediately bring this to the referee attention.
a) register on the tournament, if he meets the requirements of these Terms;
b) use the general and tournament chat of Application in order to communicate, to get more information about the procedure of tournament, as well as to report about technical problem or an abuse of these Terms or general rules of the use of Application by anyone;
c) receive prizes provided by these Terms if he reach the relevant results.
5.3.3. Has no right:
a) to use the account for tournament which was not used for the tournament registration;
b) to pass the control of own account to another person;
c) to abandon the verification or to view a false documents;
d) to use during the game the help of another people or any technical and (or) software tools to facilitate the process of game and giving an advantage over an opponent;
e) observing the games of other players to prompt them moves, tactics, game strategy, threats of points or groups of points, as well as report of missed opportunities during game;
f) during his game to use described by Sect. 5.3.3 «d» the prompts from viewers without notifying referee immediately;
g) to negotiate with the rival of the game outcome before it starts;
h) to deny an opponent to launch pause in the cases provided by Sect. 4.9 of these Terms.
i) to violate the general rules of the use of Applications in the course of tournament.
6. Responsibility for Terms violation
6.1. Organizer: not subject to liability.
6.2. Referee: for violation of the Sect. 5.2.3 of these Terms is deprived of opportunity to participate as referee in the next tournament, held by the same organizer.
6.3.1. For the violation of Sect. 5.3.3 «a-i», revealed in the course of tournament, will be disqualified immediately by referee. If at this point the participant has achieved some results, providing receipt of any prize, the prize shall not be granted to him. The information of these achievements is not entered to his profile.
6.3.2. For the violation of Sect. 6.3.1, revealed after the tournament, the participant loses all virtual rewards he obtained in the course of tournament. Information about his achievements in tournament is removed from the profile in the Application, as well as from the official site. Real prizes are not withdrawn.
6.3.3. For the violation of Sect. 5.3.3 «h» revealed in the course of tournament, the player held liable under the general procedure of Application moderation. If this player lost an access to play, he get technical loses in all games of this period. The disqualification from the tournament is not implemented.
220.127.116.11. The violation of Sect. 5.3.3 «i», revealed in the course of tournament, is equivalent to unsports conduct and entail liability in the manner prescribed by Sect. 6.3.3 of these Terms.
6.3.4. For the violation of Sect. 5.3.3 «c» the player also loses the right to participate in next official tournament.
6.4. A player disqualified at any tournament stage by the rules described in Sect. 5.3.3 of these Terms is not replaced by any of other tournament participants. All competitors of disqualified player (who had to play with him in the future) get technical victory. If disqualified player at the time of the disqualification reached the place, giving the right to any compensation, the results of all the players he beat in the previous stages, increased by one level.
6.5. The order of appeal: the appeal of actions and (or) the decision of the organizers and referees carried out in a group of Application in social networks. The successful appeal means the compensation for the prize, but the sports results of tournament can not be changed.
7. Force Majeure
7.1. The force majeure for the tournament cancellation or postponement as a whole or its individual stages or individual games can only cause by insurmountable technical problems on the Organizer server or social networks servers that have arisen during the preparation of tournament and during the tournament.
7.2. The problems with the Internet connection of the individual participants of tournament, even if caused by force majeure, does not apply to the force majeure.
8. Final terms
8.1. By submitting an application to participate in tournament, the player agrees to the organizer and referees to use his name (nickname), avatars, and other information about the person, available for viewing in the application profile and the page of social network, during the tournament preparation, its conduct and summarizing and further to promote the Application and the dots game. The player refuse from any claims in this case, including the material.
8.2. The passport data (except name), which the candidate voluntarily reported to the referee to pass the verification, has not fixed by the organizer and referees, has not stored, has not transferred to third parties and has not used otherwise.
8.3. Any text, images, audio and video materials produced during the preparation and conduct of tournament, are the intellectual property of Organizer. The use of these materials without coordination with organizer is only possible to promote the Application and the dots game if such use does not involve direct material benefit. The use of these materials for commercial purposes must be approved by organizer.
